Our client, with a mechanical workshop located in Bunbury,  WA  has over 30 years' experience in heavy vehicle manufacturing, servicing, spare parts and repairs.  Specialising in custom building units to suit client specific requirements.

An opportunity has opened up for a qualified Light Vehicle / Trailer Mechanic with heavy transport experience.

The primary accountability of this role will be to carry out critical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles to support the general operations of the Mechanical Workshop and Manufacturing business.  This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of Fabricators and Mechanics who take pride in individual and team work performance and final product delivery.

Daily tasks will include, but not limited to:

  • Fitting, maintenance and troubleshooting of in-house on board scale systems
  • Fitting of Air CTI (central tyre inflation) kits along with a wide range of auto electrical and electronic accessories
  • General fitting and mechanical duties
  • General workshop associated duties including housekeeping
  • Assist with other areas of the business as directed by the Workshop Manager

About You:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with relevant work experience or significant experience without formal qualification, desirable
  • Strong attention to detail to provide a quality level of work
  • Reliable with dedicated work ethic (please provide two contactable recent work referees)
  • High risk LF ticket and current drivers licence, essential
