Job Description / Key Responsibilities

  • Review detailed plans and specifications to understand the tiling project requirements.
  • Measure and mark surfaces accurately to ensure the tile layout fits the space and design.
  • Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive, and filling any holes or cracks for a smooth base.
  • Spread adhesive evenly using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Place tiles carefully, aligning them according to the layout plan, ensuring they are level and evenly spaced.
  • Use tile-cutting tools to fit tiles around edges, corners, and obstacles like pipes or fittings, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Use spacers as needed to maintain uniform gaps between tiles for a neat appearance.
  • Apply grout evenly between tiles, choosing the appropriate type and color, and remove excess for a clean finish.
  • Clean the tiled surface thoroughly after grouting to leave sharp, precise lines.
  • Install colored tiles in patterns or mosaics according to design specifications.
  • Continuously inspect work during installation to ensure quality and adherence to design and industry standards.
  • Offer repair services when needed to maintain the longevity and appearance of tiled surfaces.
