Hours Per Week: 38.00

**Responsibilities**:
Lays ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.

Main Duties:

- Review of the overall work this includes scheduling the work and reviewing set measurements of the areas of work.
- Site preparation involving the extraction of existing tiling, grout, and glue. Smoothing of all surfaces including holes and cracks.
- Preliminary waterproofing of the area to be tiled, and placement of tiles in the appropriate setting.
- Using specified tools including tile-cutting Lasers, cutting wheels, polishing discs and tabletop cutters to create correct tile shapes to suit abstract areas, like surrounding drainage, taps, plumbing and corners.
- Review and assessment of tile placement and measurements with correct spaces in between
- Application of grout and associated steps including cleaning disposal of excess grout materials
- Working with different flooring techniques including, cement, Paving and other flooring types

Qualifications & Experience:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV OR at least three years of relevant experience Minimum 3 years experience.
