MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT RESTRICTED TO

  • Stock control for Kitchen operations
  • Quality control of meals being served to customers
  • Back of house rostering and staff management
  • Developing menu offerings in conjunction with management
  • Ensure kitchen meets all required health, safety and other regulations
  • Estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
  • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • Discussing food preparation issues with Managers and other kitchen team members
  • Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
  • Preparing and cooking food
  • Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
  • May select and train other team members
  • Any other tasks deemed suitable by management

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous chef/cook experience, Cert III/IV and 2 years work experience or at least 3 years relevant experience (ideal but not necessarily required)

PERFORMANCE GOALS

  • To be defined with management on an ongoing basis

SCHEDULE

  • 7 Day operation
  • Morning shift, Afternoon shift, Day shift, Evening shift
  • Flexible hours
  • Rotating roster
  • Available positions for causal, part-time & full-time
