About the Role

As a Support Worker, you'll help people stay safe and comfortable at home by:

  • Helping with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
  • Providing respite care (giving carers a break)
  • Helping clients stay active and connected in their community
  • Following care plans to meet each person's needs
  • Working as a team to provide the best support possible

What You Need

Must-Haves:

  • A caring nature – Passionate about helping people
  • Good communication skills – Able to chat and listen to clients and team members
  • Ability to work independently – Comfortable using technology in your role
  • Australian working rights
  • A valid driver's licence
  • Access to a reliable, insured car
  • A Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to get one)

Nice-to-Have (but not required):

  • Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services (We provide training if you don't have one)
  • Experience in aged care or disability support
  • First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to get one)

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
