The Opportunity

We have opportunities available for experienced civil designers with infrastructure project experience within a design environment. You will work with a talented team of high performing engineers through an exciting growth phase for our business.

We place a strong emphasis on collaboration within our local offices and KBR nationally, and as such you will likely work with interstate colleagues on a variety of exciting engineering projects.

• Work under the guidance of the Discipline Manager and Lead Civil to complete design projects.

• Prepare design drafting deliverables using AutoCAD with a high level of proficiency.

• Utilise 12D or Civil 3D design software to undertake design work to an intermediate standard.

• Ensure all work is completed within agreed time, cost, and quality standards.

• Adhere to Australian Standards, drawing office procedures, and industry best practices.

• Identify and resolve design-related challenges, balancing practicality, and innovation.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

• Provide technical guidance to junior drafters and work closely with senior designers.

• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the drafting team's efficiency and quality.

• Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction by understanding and delivering on expectations.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Diploma or Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years drafting experience

• High-level proficiency with AutoCAD.

• Minimum 2 years' experience using 12D or Civil 3D for civil design work

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• A proactive approach to improving quality and efficiency in drafting services.

• Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship Required.
