Magryn & Associates is a structural, coastal and maritime engineering consultancy based in Somerton Park. We work on a wide range of projects across South Australia and beyond, with a strong focus on coastal and marine structures like jetties, boat ramps and seawalls, alongside general structural work for residential and small commercial projects.

We are looking for a
Structural / Civil Drafter
to join our team. We are open to candidates from graduate through to senior level, with a preference for applicants who bring some relevant drafting experience.

Employment type

We are open to part-time or casual arrangements for the right candidate. The role is hybrid, with a mix of office and WFH by agreement.

What you will be doing

  • Prepare structural and civil drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Draft plans for jetties, boat ramps, coastal structures and associated civil works.
  • Prepare drawings for general structural projects, including residential and small commercial buildings.
  • Update and refine drawings based on engineer markups and feedback.
  • Help maintain drawing standards, templates and organised project files.

About you

  • Experience using AutoCAD is essential.
  • Experience with civil design software such as Civil 3D, Civil Site Design or similar, and or Revit, is an advantage but not essential.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to accurately follow markups and instructions.
  • Able to work collaboratively with engineers in a small, friendly team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in drafting, civil engineering, structural engineering or a related field is preferred, but not essential for candidates with strong practical experience.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
