Gunn Agri manages $1.2bn of assets and commitments managed by the following platforms:

  • Gunn Agri Cattle Fund: northern Australian grass-fed cattle, row cropping and natural asset development. The operating entity established in 2015 is Cunningham Cattle Co. Pty Ltd.
  • Wollemi Farms: investing in permanent crop assets such as macadamias, avocados, and stone fruit across the eastern seaboard of Australia. The operating entity established in 2021 is Wollemi Farms Pty Ltd.
  • Transforming Farming: mixed farming enterprises, which includes the development of natural assets such as carbon sequestration and biodiversity. The operating entity established in 2021 is Faulkner Farming Pty Ltd.
  • Wilga Farming (Australia): mixed farming enterprises, which includes the development of natural assets such as carbon sequestration and biodiversity. The operating entity established in 2023 is Wilga Farming (Australia) Pty Ltd.
  • Meldora: mixed farming enterprises which includes the development of carbon sequestration and biodiversity projects.

The Position

Gunn Agri Partners is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Manager – Risk, Compliance & Corporate Services to join our team. This senior role is integral to the development and oversight of the Group's risk and compliance framework, as well as the delivery of strong governance practices across the business.

Reporting jointly to the Chair of the Risk and Audit Committee and the Head of People & Culture, and working closely with the Corporate Services Managing Director, you will help shape a culture of accountability, compliance, and governance excellence.

This is a full-time role based at our Bondi Junction office, offering the opportunity to take ownership and make a tangible impact across our platforms and investment entities.

In this broad-ranging position, you will:

  • Ensure the group's compliance with the Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) requirements, investment management agreement reporting requirements and all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain a robust compliance program, including policies, procedures, training and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Identify and prioritise risks across all areas of the business, including operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks and where appropriate, implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and prepare regular reports for senior management and the Board on risk and compliance matters, emerging trends and best practices.
  • Lead the scheduling, coordination and monitoring of the Group's compliance with reporting obligations for all entities and investment platforms
  • Schedule and coordinate board meetings, minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Regulatory Compliance & ASIC Reporting: Maintain and update shareholder details and changes through the ASIC portal while notifying and maintaining ASIC administrator access.

The Candidate

To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary education and/or completion of some further study of a vocational nature.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management or compliance roles.
  • Experience with working in a corporate environment and experience in financial services will be highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business processes for corporate reporting.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and proven influencing skills.
  • Capability to administer and use business management systems and software, including risk management systems.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Self-starting and motivated, and capable of working autonomously with ability to work to deadlines.
  • Strong team orientation with a willingness to work with and through others to achieve results.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are a plus
