During a typical day you will be
:

  • providing accurate, impartial data analysis and data visualisations to support Parliament, Members and Electorate Officers across a range of political and current affairs issues.
  • sourcing, cleaning and maintaining data from authoritative sources, ensuring accuracy and relevance for parliamentary research.
  • conducting research and statistical analysis on Victorian issues, identifying trends and presenting insights through accurate and engaging data visualisation and reporting.
  • responding to client requests with timely, balanced information and written briefings.
  • collaborating on research papers and projects and contributing to quality assurance processes for Library publications.

You will be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • proven skills in data analytics, data visualisation, statistical analysis and working with mapping tools.
  • experience in conducting in-depth research across varied subjects and writing accurate, impartial, and engaging reports.
  • the ability to translate complex data and findings into clear, accessible visual formats for diverse audiences.
  • well-developed customer service, communication and interpersonal skills and can work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS), is responsible for the provision of infrastructure resources and support services to Members of Parliament and the Parliamentary Departments.
