The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director to join our team for a 12 month maternity cover. This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated leader to oversee the daily operations, ensure the highest standard of care and education, and continue fostering a supportive environment for staff, families and the Katherine Community. The role will commence prior, to ensure a smooth transition and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare centre, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., ACECQA, Education and Care National Regulations)
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of childcare professionals to deliver high-quality education and care in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Build strong relationships with families and community stakeholders to promote the Centre's values and programs.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children, staff, and visitors.
- Continuously evaluate and improve service quality through reflective practice and professional development.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated professional with the following qualifications and skills:
Essential:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
- Proven leadership experience in a Early Years setting
- Strong knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework , National Quality Frameworks and safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead a team while maintaining a child-centered approach.
Desirable:
Experience managing budgets and centre resources.
- Familiarity with Xplor or other Childcare management software.
- A proactive approach to professional development and quality improvement.
