Sharp and Carter are recruiting for a Software Developer to join a fast-growing Australian technology business.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role offers the opportunity to work within a fully remote team. You will play a key part in scaling our clients platform and delivering high-quality add-ons to their rapidly expanding customer base.

This position will suit a strong intermediate to senior level developer with a background in PHP (Laravel) development. A history of SaaS or product focused development within start-up environments will be highly regarded.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven commercial experience with PHP and Laravel.
  • Proficiency in front-end development, particularly with  is a plus
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern development workflows.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain backend systems using PHP (Laravel).
  • Contribute to front-end development using
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Product, QA, and Support to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Work within a modern DevOps environment utilising AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient delivery processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to foster continuous improvement across the team.
  • Take ownership of technical challenges and deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.
