As the Head of Strategic Intelligence, you will join NAB's Group Strategy and Development division to lead the development of forward-looking intelligence that drives strategic decision-making and fuels innovation and business unit pipelines.
- Take a customer centric approach to everything you do, including a continual understanding of current and emerging customer needs.
- Lead in the identification of emerging trends and disruptive technologies, applying a commercial and customer lens to assess how these will shape the future of financial services.
- Utilise your business acumen to engage senior stakeholders and drive actionable decision making in this diverse leadership role.

As a Head of, you will join the Group Strategy and Development team that's focused on keeping it simple.
In this Head of role, you will:
- Lead the identification and analysis of emerging trends, disruptive technologies, competitor movements, regulatory and policy changes, and other macroeconomic forces shaping the future of financial services and our customers.
- Engage with a broad set of senior stakeholders to align on implications and actionable decision-making.
- Maintain and develop Strategic Intelligence capability to continuously monitor and assess market trends, fintech innovation, regulatory developments, customer behaviour shifts, and technological advancements impacting financial services.
- Work with divisional business unit stakeholders and enterprise functions to identify strategic priorities and commercial drivers aligned to Group Strategy.
- Support the Executive, Group Innovation to provide trusted advice to senior leaders, helping them understand and respond to external change and shape strategic priorities through data-backed insights and storytelling.
- Engage with external stakeholders (including fintechs, academic institutions, consultancies, technology partners, industry associations and others) to maintain access to cutting edge research and insights to help inform innovation strategy.
- Provide expertise in digital policy topics to create favourable regulatory and policy outcomes for NAB customers.
What you will bring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey expectations and influence improved outcomes.
- Proven track record in managing highly performing teams and managing complex systems and change.
- Significant breadth of leadership, technical and influencing experience.
- Structured problem solving, applying analytical skills, evidence-based decision making and customer centred design thinking.
- Experience identifying, developing and supporting strategic innovation opportunities that support the business strategy and achieve intended outcomes
- Experience in some form of product, digital or distribution role (whether in consumer, business or corporate) is preferred.
- Tertiary degree qualified preferred.
