- Opportunity to shape and influence how the business engages its people
The Company
Our client is a progressive Australian commercial professional services firm with a strong national footprint, including offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Known for delivering sharp, commercial advice, they support a wide range of clients across diverse sectors. With approximately 500–700 people in their Sydney office alone, they are at a pivotal stage of transformation under dynamic new leadership.
With bold growth and revenue ambitions, they are investing heavily in people, systems, and capability. This is an opportunity to join a firm where P&C is viewed as a strategic partner to the business and where your impact will be visible, valued, and far-reaching.
The Leaders
This role reports into a senior People & Development Business Partner and forms part of a national P&C function with circa 20 team members across Australia. The broader People & Development team is led by experienced and commercially minded P&C professionals who are focused on building a high-impact, business-aligned function.
This leadership team is committed to uplifting capability, driving meaningful change, and positioning P&C as a proactive and valued partner across the firm. Their working style is inclusive, collaborative, and driven by a clear mandate to elevate the employee experience and support the firm's ambitious growth agenda.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal people advisory role that will see you deliver solutions to a dynamic, fast-paced mid-level client group while supporting the broader transformation of the P&C function. Based in Sydney and aligned to a local client group, you will provide end-to-end P&C support and play a key role in uplifting the function's credibility and value within the business.
This role will place you at the heart of the people function, and you will have visibility of national projects, access to senior stakeholders, and opportunities for stretch as the organisation continues to scale.
Responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with managers and solicitors to coach, influence, and guide on performance, engagement, and ER matters
- Supporting cyclical performance processes, including the firm's 180-day review cycle, ensuring consistency and rigour
- Designing and delivering tactical responses to engagement survey insights and workforce planning needs
- Leading advisory work across the employee lifecycle — onboarding and probation to offboarding and exit interviews
- Managing ER cases with support where required
- Contributing to P&C transformation projects including a national HRIS implementation and process improvement initiatives
- Interpreting people data to provide meaningful insights that inform business decisions and support continuous improvement
- Working closely with a local P&C Coordinator to ensure seamless execution of P&C processes, documentation, and performance tracking
About You
This role will suit you if you're an experienced P&C Advisor who enjoys building strong relationships and delivering practical, people-focused solutions. You're confident working in a professional services environment and comfortable supporting a wide range of longstanding stakeholders.
You'll likely be someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and brings a pragmatic approach to your work. If you're energised by transformation and change and want to be part of shaping how P&C adds value to the business, this could be a great next step.
You may be looking to broaden your advisory skills, take on more responsibility, or contribute to strategic projects as part of your ongoing development. Most importantly, you'll bring curiosity, resilience, and a growth mindset to everything you do.
The Process
The recruitment process will include two interview stages with the client, in addition to an initial meeting with a Levyl Consultant.
