$141,364 package includes base salary ($124,547 - $137,476) per annum plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
The Portfolio Controls Specialist – Project Budgeting & Forecasting is responsible for the development and implementation of the Digital Solutions Group portfolio, program and project budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, delivered through a range of core services in the Delivery Office to support the achievement of Digital Solutions Group strategic and operational objectives.
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of the systems, processes and procedures for project budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting to ensure quality information is available to plan and manage the portfolio's finances.
Key duties include but not limited to: -
Coordinate development of monthly forecasts (spreadsheets) with program and project managers
Consolidate forecasts and report on monthly budget versus forecast (actuals and estimate to complete cost)
Perform variance analysis (actuals for the month against forecast done in previous month)
Review procurement items (PO's, accruals, etc) to ensure forecasts represents an accurate position
Work with finance to ensure accounting transactions are correctly executed (resource cost charges to projects, recoveries completed, etc).
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
Significant experience in providing a range of project financial support services across a diverse range of high project projects.
Highly Regarded
Demonstrated experience with resource management (cost) and cost planning in Projects Online (Microsoft Projects)
