Kool Beanz Harrup Park is seeking our next star Centre Director

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and motivated person to lead one of our Centre's in Mackay. The Harrup Park is licensed for 94 children and will require an experienced and driven Director / Nominated Supervisor who loves a challenge, has strong people skills and who can manage and lead by example. There will be plenty of support and mentorship from the area manager and the support management team, whilst you work autonomously in the role.

THE ROLE

This role is a lead role, where you will be engaging with children as well as leading and managing a team of amazing educators creating an inspiring culture that supports innovation, excellence and a love of learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including staffing, enrolments, budgets, and compliance
  • Drive the delivery of high-quality education and care
  • Lead recruitment and support ongoing professional development of your team
  • Foster a strong, collaborative team culture

Centre Management

  • Uphold and promote Kool Beanz values and philosophy
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements
  • Build positive relationships with families and community stakeholders
  • Embed a culture of excellence, safety, and child-first practices

Administrative Excellence

  • Maintain Quality Assurance Accreditation
  • Maintain the high quality of this service in line with the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting

ABOUT YOU

  • A confident leader with at least 3+ years' experience as a Centre Director or Manager
  • A Diploma or bachelor's degree in early childhood education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of EYLF, NQF, NQS and Child Safe Standards
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and time-management skills
  • Proficient in software platforms such as Smart Central, Kindy Hub, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Up-to-date Blue Card, Police Check, and certifications in First Aid, CPR, Food Safety, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Training
  • Be passionate about Early Childhood Education
  • Have a caring disposition and a positive attitude
  • Be able to work confidently & reciprocally in a team environment
  • Be able to 'think on your feet' to devise and adapt strategies within the Centre to support staff and families
  • Be able to uphold and take pride in our standards and values
  • Experience in running reports and meeting KPI's
