About the Role
JBS Pork Australia is currently recruiting for three Genetic Technicians to join our team on a full time capacity. Reporting to the Module 5 Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of the companies breeding program as well as undertaking a key role in routine work activities at our Nucleus farm, Module 5. These positions are located at our Corowa Site in NSW.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate daily activities and movement of animals in the breeding program.
- Perform genetic specialised tasks under minimal supervision.
- Ensure accurate data collection of essential key traits.
- Undertake daily welfare checks of pigs in the program.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as directed.
About You:
The idea candidate will have:
- Certificate III Agriculture (Pig Production) or higher.
- Sound knowledge of pig husbandry production systems
- High level communication skills, self-motivation and strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Preparedness to work flexible hours.
