About the Role

In response to the massive investment in infrastructure in Perth, BG&E's Perth Civil team continues to grow and as a result we are seeking an experienced and team-oriented Civil Designer to help build and grow our Civil Engineering capability.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to get in and grow their career in the field of civil engineering.

Our Perth business provides civil and structural engineering services, among others, for transport infrastructure projects in a wide variety of markets. Our highly skilled technical experts are driven by a passion to help clients achieve their goals and improve society for today and future generations.

What to expect day to day:

  • Undertake Civil Design requirements on various projects including but not limited to road design, earthworks, carparks , Paths, intersections, drainage , traffic management and grade separated interchanges.
  • Deliver Civil Design model outputs to the requirements of clients, drafters and designers.
  • Delivery quality and accurate model outputs in accordance with Civil standards and project requirements.

About you

  • Working knowledge and understanding of Austroads, Australian Standards and Road Authority requirements to meet the relevant to road geometry design.
  • Be passionate about learning and seek feedback to ensure professional and technical career development.
  • Good understanding of civil and road engineering principles, road geometry design process and road safety considerations and requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of Open Roads Designer
  • Proficient in the use of drafting software packages such as AutoCAD and Microstation, including Vehicle tracking software.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the design and delivery of road and highway infrastructure projects.
  • Good understanding of BIM / DE requirements and deliverables
  • Effective communication skills.
