Local Government Opportunity for Civil Designer

Hays Recruitment are looking for an experienced Civil Designer to join a Perth Hills Local Government on a temporary basis with permanent opportunity.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, drafting and estimating municipal works and projects as required. Your primary responsibilities will be:

- Preparing detailed engineering plans and designs for road works, traffic management schemes, stormwater drainage
- Preparing accurate schedules and quantities and design estimates using predetermined rates
- Raising and receipt Purchase Orders
- Supporting with enquiries from Officers from other departments on engineering related matters
- Liaising with the public and answering enquiries

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in the use of AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class driver's license
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Civil Infrastructure Projects
