Your Role
We're looking for a part time (3 days per week) HR Coordinator to join us on a 10-month maternity leave contract to help keep our people operations running smoothly.
As the HR Coordinator, you'll support the full employee lifecycle, while also championing employee satisfaction, maintaining and updating policies, assisting with performance reviews, and providing day-to-day guidance to both managers and the People & Culture team.
This position focuses on the HR side of the Head of People & Culture role, with recruitment, culture & events responsibilities shared across the wider team. It's a hands-on role where you'll have a real impact on the employee experience and play a key role in supporting our people leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Include but not limited to;
- Employee Lifecycle Management – Support end-to-end processes across the employee lifecycle including; supporting recruitment (in collaboration with our Recruitment Specialist), onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.
- Staff Retention & Satisfaction – Monitor employee engagement, identify areas for improvement, and help implement initiatives to improve retention and wellbeing.
- HR Advice & Employee Relations – Provide guidance to managers on performance management, including handling performance concerns, disciplinary processes, and coaching leaders on best practice.
- Performance & Development – Support the setup and coordination of performance reviews and employee development frameworks.
- Policies & Compliance – Maintain and update company policies, ensuring they're compliant, current, and aligned with company values.
- Payroll & Financial Admin Support – Coordinate with the finance team to oversee timely and accurate payroll processing, employee reimbursements, and external payments to suppliers and contractors.
- People & Culture Team Support – Oversee and guide the P&C team in day-to-day operations.
The Ideal Candidate
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior HR or People & Culture role, ideally in the digital marketing or tech industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee engagement, and talent management.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding/offboarding processes, and staff retention strategies.
- A proactive leader, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HR technology platforms to optimise People & Culture processes – ideally with experience in tools like Employment Hero, Xero, G Suite, Officevibe, and
- Familiarity with employment legislation, modern awards, and OH&S compliance.
