MBB Consulting Pty Ltd is a specialist advisory firm delivering procurement, commercial, project management, contract administration, and cost management services across major infrastructure and development projects. As we continue to expand our presence nationally, we are offering an opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our New South Wales team.

This role provides the chance to work in a flexible, supportive and genuinely collaborative environment, with direct access to senior leadership and being backed by a supportive Melbourne team.

The Role

You will play a key role in providing commercial and cost management support across a variety of projects.

Please note, this role will be based in Sydney, NSW.

This role will involve a broad range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Managing procurement and tendering processes.
  • Compiling, assessing, and negotiating submitted tenders, and providing advice on commercial and contractual clarifications.
  • Administering head contracts and subcontracts (time, cost, quality, notices).
  • Assessing payment claims.
  • Preparing cost and revenue forecasts.
  • Quantifying and costing construction works.
  • Preparing and assessing progress claims.
  • Managing variations and change management processes.
  • Drafting commercially astute correspondence and reports.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Reviewing project records, notices, and evidence for contractual analysis.
  • Providing clients with accurate and honest appraisals of their commercial position.

About You

You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline).
  • Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
  • Proficiency in procurement and cost management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and correspondence.
