Fleet & Compliance Supervisor – Night Operations

Location: Western Sydney (Huntingwood)

Big Wheels Transport is a fast-growing transport company, operating a fleet of trucks across Sydney and VIC. We are seeking an experienced Fleet & Compliance Supervisor to take ownership of compliance, fleet management, and night operations. This role is critical to ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance across our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee night operations, ensuring smooth running of express linehaul and local work.
  • Manage and monitor driver logbooks, fatigue compliance, and NHVR regulations.
  • Supervise pre-starts, maintenance schedules, and defect reporting for all trucks & trailers.
  • Handle incident reporting and insurance claims, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate with drivers and allocators to ensure jobs are completed safely and on time.
  • Upload and maintain records in compliance systems (Logchecker, Telematica, etc.).
  • Enforce company policies around load restraint, fatigue, and safety.
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to drivers during night shifts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in transport operations, fleet, or compliance role.
  • Strong knowledge of NHVR, HVNL, and COR regulations.
  • Prior experience managing linehaul and night operations is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and make quick decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail with compliance and safety standards.
