Flying Fox is a not-for-profit organisation providing social opportunities to young people with and without disability.

Flying Fox tackles social isolation, equipping young adult volunteers to support participants with disability to develop independence, further their engagement in the community and thrive as equal members of society.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator at the start of their marketing journey - someone excited to grow, learn, and make an impact You'll bring a solid understanding of digital marketing and campaign performance, combined with incredible organisation skills and the creativity and drive to bring the Flying Fox story to life across every platform.

This is the perfect opportunity for a junior marketer who wants to take ownership of projects, learn fast, and contribute meaningfully, all with the guidance and support of the Flying Fox team.

You'll have room to experiment, optimise, and see your work directly impact our growth and engagement.

What You'll Do

Digital Marketing and Campaigns

  • Build, optimise, and report on paid campaigns across Meta and Google Ads.
  • Manage organic and paid social media, developing strategies to drive engagement and growth. Platforms include Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Apply SEO best practices across website and digital content to increase visibility and performance.
  • Track, analyse, and report on campaign results, using data to continually improve outcomes.
  • Maintain and update website content to reflect new campaigns, programs, and stories.

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Create engaging content that reflects the Flying Fox brand and community.
  • Capture and share photos, videos, and stories from programs and events.
  • Design digital and print materials such as social tiles, newsletters, flyers, and presentations using Canva or similar tools.
  • Ensure a consistent tone of voice and visual identity across all communications.

Collaboration and Growth

  • Work closely with the Flying Fox team to align marketing activity with broader organisational goals.
  • Receive guidance, mentoring, and strategic direction from the Flying Fox leadership team.
  • Contribute ideas, test new approaches, and continuously learn from feedback and results.

About You

You're curious, ambitious, and ready to build your marketing career in a creative and purpose-driven organisation. You thrive in dynamic environments and are motivated by the idea of seeing your work make an immediate impact.

You'll bring:

  • A degree (or soon-to-be completed degree) in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
  • Some hands-on experience in digital marketing, including managing Meta and Google Ads campaigns (volunteer experience, internships, etc.)
  • A solid understanding of SEO principles and experience applying them in practice.
  • Confidence using analytics tools to track and optimise performance.
  • Exceptional organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity Meta Business Suite, Google Ads and Google Analytics.
  • A keen design eye and experience using Canva.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow quickly.
