Job DescriptionJoin Epworth HealthCare as a Project Manager – Food Services and lead transformative change in hospital food delivery.
This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to reimagine how food services are delivered across our hospital network, enhancing patient experience, operational efficiency, and nutritional outcomes. You'll work closely with hospitality, operational, and project teams to explore and implement new food service models, driving improvements that truly make a difference. Reporting to the Group Director, Projects and Change, with a matrix report to the Group Director of Support Services, you'll be at the forefront of modernising service delivery in a dynamic healthcare environment.
We're looking for a strategic and hands-on project leader with at least five years' experience in service delivery, ideally within hospitality or healthcare. You'll bring strong project planning, financial management, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a passion for innovation and excellence.
This is an exciting 12 month fixed term (Full Time) opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead innovative change in hospital food services. The role focuses on exploring and implementing new food delivery models that enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and nutritional outcomes. Working closely with project, operational, and hospitality teams, the Project Manager will drive initiatives that modernize how food is prepared, delivered, and enjoyed. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is passionate about improving service delivery through creative, practical solutions.
Position Description
You will make an impact by:
- Developing and managing a comprehensive project plan for the Food Services strategy initiative, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Ensuring alignment of project objectives with hospital strategic goals and clinical priorities.
- Monitoring progress and adjusting plans to meet evolving needs and challenges
- Defining success metrics and KPIs for the Food Services strategy project.
- Conducting mid-implementation reviews and recommending continuous improvement initiatives.
You will need to have:
- Minimum 5 years Hospitality development / construction/Food project experience on large scale projects (Desirable)
- Computer literacy e.g. MS Office, Project Management and other reporting related technologies.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to apply strategic thinking along with a capacity to implement operational priorities.
- Financial tracking and reporting capabilities commensurate with managing medium to large construction projects
- Organizational, prioritization and time management skills; proven track record in project management.
- Provide leadership and coordination for the redevelopment and operational transitioning.
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business Administration, Health Administration and/or equivalent work experience
- Certification in project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) (desirable)
