Genus has recently secured a major Transmission Development Project between Palmerston and Burnie, as part of the Northwest Transmission Developments initiative.
We are now seeking a
Recruitment Advisor
to help attract and engage both local and Interstate talent to support the successful delivery of this project.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a major project from the ground up. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment activities across a diverse range of technical white-collar positions and blue-collar trade roles, ensuring the right people are in place to support a successful project delivery.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand project timelines, workforce requirements, and critical resourcing priorities.
- Drive end-to-end recruitment for project-based roles by advertising vacancies and proactively sourcing skilled candidates via LinkedIn, Seek Talent Search, and other platforms.
- Manage high-volume screening, shortlisting, and interviewing to ensure quick turnaround and project readiness.
- Ensure all recruitment data is accurately captured in our ATS and aligned with compliance and project reporting requirements.
- Work closely with the Recruitment Lead on talent strategies, including workforce planning, pipeline development, and employer branding to support successful project ramp-up.
About You:
You're a confident and proactive recruiter who excels in fast-paced environments, with a strong ability to build authentic, trusted relationships with both stakeholders and candidates.
To thrive in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience recruiting for technical and trade roles—ideally within the construction, utilities, or engineering sectors.
- Strong skills in proactive sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
- Excellent communication and time management, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A natural ability to build rapport and work effectively with stakeholders across various levels, with a solid understanding of project-driven recruitment needs.
- Sharp attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering a positive and professional candidate experience.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment tools—experience with JobAdder is highly desirable.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
- A current and valid Australian driver's licence.
Benefits:
- Be part of the exciting start-up phase of a major project, where your impact will be immediate and meaningful.
- Work alongside a highly experienced project team and gain valuable industry insights.
- Enjoy a supportive leadership team that prioritises a positive, collaborative, and engaging work culture.
- Receive a competitive salary package that reflects your skills and contribution.
- Join a respected ASX-listed company with a strong industry presence.
- Access ongoing learning and development opportunities to support your career growth.
**NOTE: Interviews will be held face to face in Hobart on Tuesday 3rd September.
