THE OPPORTUNITY

Viva Leisure parent company to Club Lime one of Australia's leading fitness companies are looking for a new Crèche Manager to join our club on a permanent part-time basis in Butler

Founded in 2004, Viva Leisure operates fitness clubs within the health and Leisure industry. We have a trajectory of growth as the largest independent health club operator in Australia and are the first fitness facility operator to list on the Australian Securities Exchange.

As the Crèche Manager, you'll lead the way in creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for children while their parents enjoy Viva Leisure's facilities. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the crèche — from organising engaging activities and maintaining high standards of care, to supporting a team that ensures every child feels happy, secure, and valued.

You'll also play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to parents and caregivers, building trust and positive relationships that enhance the overall member experience. With a focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality, you'll ensure the crèche operates smoothly and continues to reflect Viva Leisure's commitment to excellence.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity - 20 hours per week.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:

Essential

  • Current First Aid certification
  • Current CPR certificate
  • For roles in Creche, Swim School, and Group Fitness Instruction (GFI) in QLD: a valid Working with Children or Working with Vulnerable People Check is required. Please confirm with management whether this applies to your position.
  • Demonstrated experience within the childcare industry and/or experience caring for infants and children in a professional or structured setting

Desirable

In addition to the essential requirements, the following are highly regarded:

  • Formal qualifications in early childhood education, childcare, or a related field, or equivalent acquired skills through practical experience in a similar role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Crèche Management

  • Promote a collaborative and teamwork-oriented culture within the team, ensuring effective communication and cooperation.
  • Address staff or parent/guardian conflicts or issues promptly, escalating to management as needed.
  • Create and oversee staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage based on the number and needs of children.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff working hours in compliance with regulations and submit payroll information accurately and on time.

Crèche Experience

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of children aged 8 weeks to 12 years.
  • Engage confidently and compassionately with infants and children.
  • Provide a range of age-appropriate entertainment and activities.
  • Offer guidance and supervision to children regarding acceptable behaviour and positive interaction.
  • Deliver appropriate levels of care for individual children and groups.
  • Foster a nurturing, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure the crèche facility remains clean, safe, and free of clutter at all times.
  • Maintain and service all equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Report and address all safety hazards, incidents, and near misses in line with business requirements.
  • Adhere to all operational processes, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently as directed by the Club Manager.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the quality and efficiency of crèche operations.
  • Support the Club Manager in maintaining and reviewing safety procedures to safeguard children's wellbeing.
