We are seeking a Freight Handler to work part time from 4pm - 11pm. A person who is physically fit and has experience operating a forklift which is assessed during the recruitment process.

About the role:

  • Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road
  • Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse
  • Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.
  • Forklift licence and experience mandatory (assessment to be completed)

Roster/Pay

  • 4:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Flexibility required for potential overtime pre or post shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • 38.20ph (= $32.51ph base rate + 17.5% PM shift loading)
    • 12% Superannuation
    • Leave entitlements

About you:

  • You are physically fit and can be on your feet all day
  • Have good geographical knowledge
  • Experienced in manual handling (and forklift operations is advantageous)
  • Possess initiative and a strong work ethic
  • Can lift at least 30kg – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you're safe on the job
  • Laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive
