Medical Receptionist – Playford Family Medical Group

We are seeking Junior and Senior Medical Receptionists to join our friendly team at Playford Family Medical Group.

No prior experience is required — full training will be provided for the right candidates.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing telephone enquiries and scheduling patient appointments
  • Billing, receipting, and processing Medicare or DVA claims
  • Scanning, data entry, and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Providing reception and general administrative support to doctors and allied health professionals

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable, and enjoys working in a busy, supportive environment.

As the first point of contact for our patients and visiting professionals, you will demonstrate professionalism, warmth, and excellent communication skills.


Essential Criteria

  • Strong work ethic and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Familiarity with Best Practice Medical Software and HICAPS terminal use (preferred but not essential)
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred but not essential)
