MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced casual Medical Receptionists to join the Playford Family Medical Group and our friendly admin team.

Duties will include:

  • Managing a large volume of telephone enquiries and scheduling appointments
  • Billing and receipting
  • Scanning and data entry
  • Reception and other general administrative tasks

The successful candidate will need to be reliable, adaptive and be comfortable working in a dynamic team. You will be the first point of contact for all patients and other health professionals so a high level of maturity is required. Hours will average 25-35 hours per week.

Essential criteria:

  • Experience in scheduling appointments for consultations with our Doctors and Allied Health Professionals
  • Dedicated work ethic and positive attitude
  • Experience with Best Practice Medical Software and HICAPs terminal use
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Productive, proficient and sensible approach to problem solving
  • High level of organisational skills involving time management, accuracy and attention to detail, multi-tasking and efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills involving patient care and liaison between, medicare, government bodies, allied health providers etc
  • Work independently as well as part of the team
