About the Role

We are a warm, energetic family with 4 (not-so-little) children and a busy lifestyle; in search of someone to manage the day to day cleaning, household and property duties of our residence and also provide childcare support as required. Our children must be involved in household tasks when they are home from school, such as feeding our farm and family animals and collecting eggs from the chickens. In this role, you will:

  • Undertake daily cleaning - vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry;
  • Change bed sheets and make beds, including guest rooms which are used frequently;
  • Regularly deep clean rooms and public areas;
  • Manage general upkeep of the entire household;
  • Be responsible for housekeeping equipment and report or coordinating damage or maintenance;
  • Care for and supervise children as needed (ensure they are up and ready for school on time etc);
  • Make children's school lunches;
  • Recycle food waste into chicken feed / compost;
  • Coordinate harvest of produce;
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks and costs with the family and Accountant;
  • Liaise with regular contractors, eg: interior and exterior window cleaners, pool company, handymen.

This is a full time role (working 38 hours per week), ideally Monday - Friday  but the flexibility to design your work around your life, as well as our family commitments. Importantly, you should feel like an extension of the household

About You

The perfect candidate for this role will have prior experience in cleaning (ideally hotels or accommodation level), housekeeping and managing a household for a family and understand that you are to work with tact and discretion in everything you do. You must be highly proactive and have excellent attention to detail. You will also:

  • Be flexible, reliable and trustworthy and have the ability to work autonomously;
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly;
  • Have excellent organisational and troubleshooting skills;
  • Valid Driver's licence and reliable vehicle essential;
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to gain).

A full induction and handover will be provided to the successful candidate.
