About the Role

Due to continued growth, WesTrac is currently seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic and/or Agricultural Mechanic to join our Wagga Wagga Workshop

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, our Mechanics are responsible for performing repairs and routine maintenance on Caterpillar equipment. With an average output of 15 machines a month, this role will see you providing support to our general construction and mining customers throughout the region. Focusing on safety and continuous improvement, a role with WesTrac will give you exposure to machine rebuilds, component overhauls and in-depth diagnostics.

Roster and Remuneration

  • Monday - Friday (Days only)
  • Roster Pattern: 5D2O
  • Day shift: 07:00AM - 17:30PM (40 or 50-hour weeks)
  • Annual earnings FROM $113,500 + Super

*Rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience*

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience.
  • Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and/or components.
  • Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence.
  • Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards.
  • Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines.
