What you will do:

  • Prepare and lodge returns across individuals, businesses, corporates, and trusts.
  • Deal with accounts and journalling across a range of tax matters, including corporate, income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, withholding tax, stamp duty and more.
  • Keep and reconcile high-quality working papers for your client matters.
  • Provide supporting memoranda.
  • Research and apply ATO rules.
  • Directly communicate with clients, both large and small.
  • Develop your professional skills through CPDs and further education.
  • Provide feedback, suggestions and advice to management.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of experience as a tax accountant in public practice.
  • A strong desire to learn and develop.
  • Ambition to grow your income.
  • Firm grasp of Australian tax fundamentals and accounting practices.
  • Confidence with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • The desire to participate in, and to lead, a team of professionals.
  • A positive, personable manner when dealing with clients.
