About the Role 

We're looking for an experienced perioperative RN who enjoys teaching, mentoring and supporting others.

In this role, you'll help scrub/scout nurses build their skills, confidence and clinical capability through hands-on training, coaching and structured education. 

You'll support staff during surgical cases, guide onboarding for new team members, run training sessions and ensure best practice across orthopaedic and general perioperative procedures. It's a highly rewarding role for someone who loves developing people and improving patient care.

What You'll Do 

  • Deliver training, coaching and competency assessments for scrub/scout nurses
  • Provide 1:1 support and guidance during surgical cases
  • Help create high-quality onboarding and induction resources
  • Share expertise on instrumentation, equipment and orthopaedic procedures
  • Support quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives

About You 

You're an experienced perioperative RN who enjoys helping others succeed and grow. You communicate well, stay calm under pressure and love creating a supportive learning environment. 

You'll also bring: 

  • Current AHPRA RN registration
  • 5+ years' perioperative scrub/scout experience
  • Strong mentoring, precepting or education experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • WWCC (Working With Children Check)
  • Training & Assessment qualification (desirable, not essential)
