About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Membership Growth & Retention Manager to join our Member Engagement & Experience team. In this newly focused role, you will lead our growth and retention strategy through identifying and converting new members while supporting retention and driving revenue through a strategic and data-led sales approach.
Working closely with Member Engagement Managers you will apply data insights to convert prospects, retain members and drive revenue. You'll also play a key role in shaping a compelling value proposition to support our growing community of water professionals.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify and convert corporate membership leads through tailored strategies
· Drive growth in individual memberships via targeted engagement initiatives
· Collaborate cross-functionally to nurture leads and achieve membership targets
· Support retention efforts through timely engagement during renewal periods
· Ensure accurate CRM management (HubSpot) and provide regular reporting on lead progression, KPIs, and revenue
· Deliver market and competitor insights to inform acquisition strategies and enhance member value
· Champion the member experience by capturing feedback and recommending improvements
About You
· 3 years' experience in membership sales, stakeholder engagement, business development, or similar
· Demonstrated success in member acquisition, conversion, and retention within a service-driven or membership-based organisation
· Proven ability to meet or exceed targets in a KPI-focused environment
· Proficient in CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) with strong data management and reporting skills
· Commercially astute and data-informed, with a focus on continuous improvement and identifying growth opportunities
Desirable
- Experience in associations, professional membership bodies, or NFPs and an understanding of the water, environment, or infrastructure sectors
- Familiarity with membership-based business models and value delivery
- Experience working across cross-functional projects or member campaigns
