As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disabilities to live independently, achieve their goals, and participate fully in their community. This is a rewarding position suited to individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Assist with household tasks like cleaning, cooking, and shopping
- Support clients to attend medical appointments, social activities, and community events
- Monitor and support client wellbeing, ensuring a safe and positive environment
- Follow individual support plans and behaviour management strategies
- Accurately document client progress, incidents, and health-related updates
- Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and other team members
About You:
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities
- Reliable, patient, and empathetic with strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
- Understands confidentiality and professional boundaries
Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or equivalent (desirable)
- First Aid & CPR (current)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- COVID-19 Vaccination (as per NSW Health directives)
- Police Check
