Software Tester

Join a high-impact federal program where you'll test complex systems to ensure quality, reliability and fitness for purpose. You'll execute structured test activities across UAT, functional, non-functional, and process testing domains—all within a collaborative Agile delivery environment. This is a 12-month contract with 2×12-month extension options. Candidates must be onsite and hold an NV1 or NV2 clearance.

Location ACT, QLD, or VIC (onsite only)

What you'll do (essential tasks)

  • Execute test plans and cases aligned with project strategies
  • Create and maintain test scripts, test materials and regression packs
  • Log actions, defects and results; collaborate closely to resolve issues
  • Contribute to other testing tasks as required within your APS level

What we're looking for (key criteria)

  • Strong UAT skills: create test cases from acceptance criteria; report on risks and outcomes
  • Functional testing expertise: script design, boundary testing, exploratory testing, automation
  • Experience with non-functional testing: environment config, data prep, test execution
  • Ability to test complete business processes and analyse real-world impacts
