The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a skilled and empathetic Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and expanding team in a Full Time capacity (8:00am-4:00pm) as we broaden our residential and community services to provide exceptional care to our elderly residents. H elp clients achieve improved mobility, pain relief, and a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of residents' physical conditions and functional abilities
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and formulate functional health assessments for new residents
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and coordinate client reablement programs and therapy plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning
• Implementation and management of falls prevention strategies
• Provide clinical supervision to Allied Health Assistants
• Practice in community care, extending physiotherapy expertise beyond our facilities to support the broader community
• Manage private physiotherapy services, offering specialised physiotherapy care to individuals seeking personalised treatment
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Conduct pre-employment assessments for new staff to evaluate their physical capabilities and recommend adjustments or accommodations as needed
  Participate in case conferences, care planning meetings, and professional development activities

About you

• Relevant AHPRA (general) registration. New Grads welcome to apply
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Caring and compassionate attitude
• Excellent clinical reasoning skills, with a desire to achieve results
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• Sound knowledge of WHS and manual handling practices
• Willingness and ability to travel to clients in the community
  Completion of a national criminal check clearance specific to vulnerable persons, and a pre-employment physiotherapy assessment during recruitment process.
