Leading and developing ADP's renewable energy team

Location:
Australia (any of our offices) | New Division | Global Platform

ADP Consulting, a 350 people strong engineering consulting firm and part of the global Ayesa Group, is expanding its energy & power offerings in Australia. We are seeking a senior leader to drive this next phase of growth.
ADP Consulting has a strong established track record in building, precinct and engineering infrastructure design, as well as an existing team experienced in energy sector projects. Backed by Ayesa, one of the world's leading renewable engineering consultancy firms, this role will establish a key presence in the Australian energy market.
What is your role?

You will be the head of our energy sector offering across Australia, establishing ADP as a leader in solar, wind, BESS and transmission projects.
You'll be responsible for:
- Building and leading the Energy business, owning P&L, strategy, and market growth
 - Driving client relationships at executive level with developers, utilities, governments, and EPCs
 - Positioning ADP for energy projects including BESS, solar, wind and hybrid projects, with strong knowledge of transmission projects.
 - Unlocking synergies across ADP's MEP, civil, and energy teams to offer holistic project solutions
 - Leveraging Ayesa's global expertise to expand into new opportunities across ANZ

About You
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- 10+ years experience leading a portfolio of energy projects
 - Highly regarded within the Australian energy market and recognised as a trusted leader in the energy industry - well connected with authorities, developers, and utilities companies
 - Leadership skills to build, grow, and inspire a new team
 - Excellent client relationship and management development with proven work-winning ability
 - Experience leading multi-discipline teams and knowledgeable of project scope and requirements for other engineering disciplines such as civil, structural, access, acoustics, fire, and environmental
 - Proven track record of completing concept, feasibility, planning and utility connections
 - Technically proficient in AEMO, TNSP and planning requirements with an engineering qualification
 - Strong understanding of connection processes, modelling requirements, approvals, codes and standards required for complex projects (whilst the role will be primarily building the team and bringing in work, we require a solid foundation of technical knowledge in the leadership position in order to technically advertise, scope and establish/develop projects)
 - Strong commercial acumen regarding project finance, CAPEX, OPEX, energy revenue streams and procurement pathways with strong contractual awareness
 - Preferably an electrical engineering background, although open to other engineering disciplines which have provided owner's engineering roles over feasibility and planning stages of projects.
 - Expertise across the full project lifecycle, including:
 - Project inception and site selection
 - Planning approvals
 - Utility connections, costs, and timelines
 - Feasibility studies and business cases
 - Integration with environmental, civil, structural, acoustics, fire and supporting discipline

The Opportunity

This is more than a leadership role. It's your chance to:
- Establish ADP as a key national player in the Energy sector
 - Deliver on Australia's most ambitious renewable energy program
 - Connect into Ayesa's global energy platform and clients entering ANZ
 - Shape the future of clean energy delivery in the region
