About the role

As the Stock Controller, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Asset Management & Performance group.

You will support internal stakeholders with day-to-day inventory or repairable queries, distribution and timely coordination including management of materials for maintenance and project works.

Key accountabilities include:

• Organizational Skills: Perform warehousing, operations, inventory, and transport-related tasks for depots and projects within given timeframes.

• Inventory Management: Manage customer requests, depot replenishments, analyse stock levels, and support dispatch of materials.

• Attention to Detail: Coordinate and participate in the cycle count process across depots and other stock locations.

• Technical Proficiency: Monitor stock levels, set inventory parameters, and perform relevant system transactions.

• Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate purchasing documents and support the Purchasing Officer.

• Problem-Solving: Investigate stock discrepancies and implement inventory control regimes.

• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders to address inventory-related queries and ensure compliance with inventory and storage standards.

• Customer Service: Handle customer queries in relation to item master, new item creations, stock availability, back orders, pricing, and lead times

About you

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A forklift license is mandatory for this role

• Logistics or relevant work experience in maintenance and supply chain environment

• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel

• Previous experience using ERP stock management systems such as JDE, SAP

• Current driver's license as this role involves travelling to different sites

• Ability to work well in a team and build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders
