Client Profile

An Australian company founded in 1992, we have developed into a leading supplier of outsourced IT services for small businesses and not-for-profit organisations to large multi-site and multinational corporations.

Your Role

You will manage comprehensive financial operations including bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, and product pricing for an IT services organisation. Provide strategic financial guidance with scope
to develop into a Fractional CFO role as business grows.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and general ledger management.
  • Process fortnightly / monthly payroll ensuring compliance with Australian employment standards.
  • Manage accounts payable processes and vendor relationships.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow statements and management accounts.
  • Develop and maintain product pricing models and profitability analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian taxation requirements and BAS preparation (AASB).
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
  • Business Development Support:

Identify upsell opportunities and support proposal development for account growth.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Stay updated on trends and suggest innovations that drive greater ROI.

You Must Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in finance roles, preferably in professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards (AASB) and employment law.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, EziDebit, uCollect, HubDoc).
  • Payroll processing experience with Australian superannuation and taxation.
  • Understanding of IT services business models and pricing strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy standards.
  • Strategic thinking capability for future CFO responsibilities.
