Griffin Marine Services is a leading marine service provider specialising in multi-disciplinary industrial services and project management. We service a diverse range of clients, including prime defence contractors and commercial shipping companies. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team in DARWIN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings to complete assigned tasks
  • Use hand tools, power tools, machinery, and heat treatments to manipulate various materials
  • Fit and install masts, frames, fittings, machinery, shafts, safety equipment, cabinetry and structural components.
  • Assess damage and determine appropriate repair methods for marine vessels
  • Perform repairs using a range of materials including metals, reinforced plastics, timbers, cabinetry components, floorings, carbon fibre and fiberglass.

About You:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with strong adaptability
  • A trade certificate (highly regarded)
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • A current driver's licence and reliable transport
  • A valid OHS Construction Induction White Card (essential)
