Position Available:

As an essential member of our construction team at DG CHEN PTY LTD, you will work closely with the Site Supervisor to carry out carpentry tasks, ensuring all wooden structures and installations are crafted to the highest standards. Your role will involve preparing surfaces, assembling frameworks, and assisting in the timely completion of projects. Previous experience in a fast-paced construction environment is highly valued. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to creating top-quality carpentry work for our clients.

This is a FULL-TIME position.

Responsibilities:

• Installs wall/ceiling frames, roof trusses, and eaves systems using precision layout tools (e.g., laser levels) and engineered timber/light-gauge steel components.
• Determines material quantities (timber, steel studs, gypsum), precise dimensions, and installation sequences for carpentry projects. Ensures compliance with structural and design requirements.
• Repairs deteriorated wooden elements (e.g., rot, termite damage) through selective timber replacement and reinforcement techniques for longevity.
• Builds partitions, flooring systems, stairs, and decorative panelling with specialised connectors (nails, screws, brackets), emphasising load-bearing integrity and acoustic performance.
• Designs, installs, and dismantles temporary moulds for poured concrete structures, focusing on dimensional accuracy and safety protocols.
• Fits windows, doors, and associated hardware (hinges, handles, locks), ensuring alignment, weatherproofing, and compliance with accessibility standards.

Requirement:

• Fully qualified carpenter with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the field.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
• Able to work independently, manage projects efficiently, and meet deadlines with precision.
• Honest, reliable, and a cooperative team player who excels in a collaborative work environment.

What We Offer:

• Attractive salary range of AUD 66,000to $75,000 per year.
