About The Client
Rio Tinto Operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. These assets include a world-class, integrated network of 15 iron ore mines, four port facilities, a 1,700-kilometre rail network and related infrastructure. Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.

About The Role
WorkPac is currently in search of a field support officer to join our esteemed client's team, based in the Pilbara. This position is based on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and dispatch samples accurately and on time.
  • Record and validate data in ProTrak to ensure accuracy.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in all field activities.
  • Train and mentor new Contract Field Assistants in safety and field tasks.
  • Support geologists and project coordinators with field-based tasks and communication.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in sampling, data collection, and reporting.
  • Contribute to improving procedures, safety systems, and process efficiencies.

Skills And Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of mining experience.
  • Current Australian HR class drivers licence.
  • 4WD safe driver training.
  • First Aid certification.
