Senior / Lead Steel Detailer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior / Lead Steel Detailer to join our team in Perth.

This is a leadership role suited only for candidates with extensive commercial project experience and a proven ability to deliver complex detailing packages to the highest standard.

Please note:

  • Applications will not be considered if you do not currently reside in Perth.
  • Only candidates with substantial experience in commercial steel projects will be shortlisted.
About the Role

As our Senior/Lead Detailer, you will take charge of complex commercial projects, oversee and mentor junior staff, and ensure flawless detailing deliverables for fabrication and erection. You will be a key technical leader, bridging communication between engineers, fabricators, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of detailers and checkers on commercial steel projects.
  • Produce and review high-quality shop drawings, erection drawings, and BIM models.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards, codes, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and fabricators to resolve technical issues.
  • Drive efficiency and maintain accuracy across all detailing outputs.
Requirements (Strict)
  • Currently residing in Perth (applications outside Perth will not be accepted).
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in commercial steel detailing projects.
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver under pressure.
