About the business and the role

At Home Delivery Express we specialize in furniture/bedding/White goods retail store deliveries and pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service that we provide to our customers. We need reliable, fit and motivated individual's who are capable of working well in a team environment whilst providing exceptional customer service. This role would suit someone looking for a change from a removalist role or a similar position.

Role Description:

  • Delivering of brand new retail goods from a warehouse at Kotara, Beresfield and Bennetts Green to customer homes around the Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Nelson Bay areas.
  • Roster working - 11 day fortnights working Monday - Friday 1 week then Monday - Saturday the 2nd week'.
  • Driving late model Fuso Medium rigid Truck with offsider.
  • Checking the delivery dockets and make sure the order is correct for loading.
  • Load and secure the furniture and whitegoods into the truck.
  • Bring furniture and whitegoods into the home. (Some will require assembly)
  • Keep the truck clean on the outside and inside (fold pads and return tie downs to there original spot).
  • Customer service skills are essential to this role.

Skills and experience needed

  • Must have a MR or above truck license
  • Must be able to lift furniture complying with OH&S guidelines
  • Must be reliable.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must have Exceptional Customer service skills. The role requires constant communications with customer.

Pay rate. $35 a hour casual. ($28 plus casual loading = $35).

If you would prefer we have a salary based package @ $62k per year with weekly bonuses on top with our guys last year earing around the $72k a year mark.
