KITCHEN HANDS - UTILITY 2:1 ROSTER

About the Role

Due to growth within the business, we are looking for experienced kitchen hands utility.  The position can be progressed into a full-time role based on performance and feedback.

About the Role:

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a key role in supporting smooth daily food service and maintaining cleanliness across the village site dining facilities and kitchen.

Key responsibilities:

·      Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including making sandwiches and wraps.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, and equipment.
  • Wash dishes and cooking utensils using commercial dishwashers or by hand.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
  • Support dining room cleanliness and presentation during meal service.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately and manage bin hygiene.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow WHS (Work Health & Safety) policies.
  • Assist with general housekeeping or cleaning tasks around the camp as needed.
  • Work cooperatively with kitchen and site teams, maintaining respectful communication.

To be successful, you will have:

Essential:

  • Australian Citizenship, or full Australian working rights
  • National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months of applying)
  • RSA Certificate
  • SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety Certificate
  • White Card
  • Willingness to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical, Fitness for Work Assessment, Drug and Alcohol Screening and attend site specific inductions.
  • Have a positive attitude and able to complete manual handling tasks with a keen safety awareness.

Desired

  • Forklift Licence
  • A valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011- Provide First Aid)- issued within last 3 years
  • Demonstrated experience in a FIFO village environment
