We're looking for a motivated and reliable kitchen hand / baker's assistant to join our production team. You'll work alongside our experienced bakers to help prepare and produce our range of breads and pies from scratch. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced artisan bakery environment, perfect for someone who enjoys early mornings and being part of a hardworking, close-knit team. Start times range from midnight to 2am.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist bakers by weighing and preparing ingredients for daily recipes
  • Support bread and pie production processes, including shaping, baking, and finishing where required
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen, benches, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Follow all food safety and workplace health & safety procedures
  • Assist with loading/unloading trays and bakery equipment
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and packaging supplies
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines

About You

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to early morning or overnight shifts
  • Physically fit — this role involves repetitive lifting and working on your feet.
  • Able to work well under pressure and as part of a small team.
  • Takes pride in maintaining cleanliness and following systems
  • Previous bakery or food production experience is an advantage but not essential, training provided for the right candidate
