The Opportunity
Reporting to and working closely with the Director, Strategic Projects and Change Management, the Strategic Projects Officer plays a key role in coordinating and delivering cross-functional and organisation-wide strategic projects and change management initiatives. You will partner with the Director and stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, providing project support to ensure strategic initiatives are executed successfully. You will have the opportunity to apply your clinical, aged care operational, or extensive project management experience from the aged care or healthcare sector. A central part of your role will be to shape successful project outcomes. You will achieve this by leveraging your understanding of frontline service delivery challenges and other critical areas, directly guiding project planning and change implementation.
Accountabilities will include (but not limited to):
- Project Leadership & Support – Assist the Director in leading strategic projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and efficient implementation.
- Operational Coordination – Provide hands-on support for strategic projects, including planning, monitoring, reporting, and process documentation.
- Due Diligence & Integration – Support project-related transition, integration, and risk mitigation activities.
- Process Mapping & Improvement – Identify process impacts and contribute to refining business processes for better efficiency.
- Research & Compliance – Conduct research on aged care, regulations, and compliance trends to support informed decision-making.
- Change Management – Assist in developing and implementing change frameworks, conducting impact assessments, and driving stakeholder engagement.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain positive relationships, ensuring effective collaboration and buy-in for initiatives.
- Communication & Documentation – Prepare and manage project communications, reports, and other control documents while ensuring compliance with policies.
- Training & Development – Provide training, support, and guidance on project processes, system usage, and change management tools.
- Administrative Support – Support the Director in scheduling, report preparation, meeting facilitation, and other administrative duties.

What you bring
In addition to a can-do attitude and a willingness to grow your skills and extend yourself, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
Required:
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience in coordinating multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and produce clear documentation.
- Experience with document management systems and policy/procedure development.
- Understanding and application of change management principles.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to aged services (community based, residential and retirement living).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with SharePoint; project management/process mapping tools desirable.
- Experience contributing to projects and organisational change initiatives.
Desired:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- Certification or training in Project Management and/or Change Management.
- Relevant experience, preferably in the Health, Community, or Aged Care sectors.
- Experience in developing or delivering training related to projects or change.
