About the role

We are seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and dedicated team in Carlingford. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our medical practice, providing exceptional customer service to our patients. The position is permanent part-time every second Monday and we need someone who has the flexibility to cover sick days on Fridays and holidays when needed. The position has the potential to grow into more permanent days.

What you'll be doing

  • Welcoming and checking in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments in a timely and organised manner
  • Handling phone enquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records
  • Providing general administrative support to the clinical team

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service-oriented role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient in using Best Practice software and standard office technology
  • Highly motivated, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
