The South Australian West Coast ACCHO Network (SAWCAN) is looking for an experienced Graphic Design & Communications Officer to join our team. This is a work-from-home position (0.6 FTE, 22.5 hrs/week) with flexibility to travel across our region when needed.

About the role

Working closely with the Communications Lead, this role strengthens SAWCAN's visual storytelling and supports culturally safe, community-focused health initiatives across the Eyre Peninsula and Far West Coast of South Australia.

The role will include:

  • Designing and producing high-quality visual assets for community health campaigns, reports, publications, merchandise and social media.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all communications and platforms.
  • Preparing artwork for professional printing and liaising directly with printers.
  • Contributing creative ideas and concepts that enhance community impact.
  • Managing multiple design tasks in a fast-paced environment with clear deadlines.

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and strong layout, colour, typography and visual storytelling skills.
  • Experience designing for both digital and print, including preparing print-ready files.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal organisations and communities, and a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and ways of working.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and the initiative to work independently from home.
