About us

Clarkson Community Pharmacy is a friendly, community-focused pharmacy with a small close-knit team. We pride ourselves on excellent customer care, high standards of dispensing practice and a supportive working environment. We're seeking an experienced, self-motivated dispensary technician to join us on a part‑time basis.

The role

This is a part‑time position with Saturday as a required workday. You will work in the dispensary supporting the pharmacist to deliver accurate, timely dispensing and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescriptions and prepare labelled medication under pharmacist supervision

  • Process PBS and non-PBS prescriptions and handle prescription records/returns in accordance with pharmacy procedures and legislation

  • Perform stock management: receiving deliveries, checking expiry dates, rotation, and stock ordering support

  • Provide friendly, professional front‑of‑shop customer service and over‑the‑counter assistance within scope of practice

  • Assist with dose administration aids/dosettes and other adherence services where required

  • Maintain accurate records, maintain dispensary cleanliness and help implement quality and safety processes

  • Support efficient workflow and teamwork in a small pharmacy environment

Essential criteria

  • Previous dispensary experience in a community pharmacy (dispensing experience essential)

  • Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a small team

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Availability to work Saturdays (this is a required workday)

Desirable

  • Relevant pharmacy qualification or certificate (e.g., Certificate III/IV in Community Pharmacy or equivalent) or pharmacy technician accreditation where applicable

  • Experience with PBS claiming systems and dispensing software

  • Experience preparing dose administration aids and providing adherence support

  • Immunisation training or willingness to train

Hours & remuneration

  • Part‑time role; typical hours approximately [10–20] per week (flexible rostering). Saturday required.

  • Pay: competitive hourly rate (award-aligned / negotiable based on experience) — please state your expected hourly rate in your application.
